Here we have the Ruination Amulet, she is a large impressive Sunstone jewel measuring in at 13mm in size and 6.4 carats in weight. When my wife looked at it she said "Wow! That's a rock!" Color is quite clear and bright, Slightly yellow or Straw colored depending on the light you are in. It does an excellent job of reflecting light! If you want a Rock to show off, this will qualify! I cut this gem from Sunstone Rough.
Sunstones are a bit softer than Quartz's (Citrine, Amethyst) and react badly to hydrochloric acid. Only clean with soapy water (a few drops of Dawn in warm water works great)

Cleaning Warm, soapy water is always a safe sunstone cleaning method. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners should be avoided. Feldspars are rapidly attacked by hydrochloric acid, so cleaning products containing bleach should also be avoided.
